The Frozen Foods Clerk provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, rotates and replenishes merchandise, ensures cleanliness and safety in the department, and checks temperatures of cases for correctness and consistency.

Requirements

• No education requirement.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to the products they're looking for, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, and passing along customer suggestions or requests.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Rotates and replenishes merchandise and ensures highest quality standards are met.
• Ensures cleanliness in the department and maintains organized storage areas.
• Unloads trucks, checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Orders product and supplies as necessary.
• Assists with inventory and prices products for customers as necessary.
