Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing a team in a sales environment with a proven ability to motivate, mentor, and lead teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field; or, equivalent experience.
  • Texas General Lines Agent License: Property and Casualty (P&C) and Life, Accident, Health, & HMO, or attainment within 90 days.
  • Knowledge of effective sales strategies and insurance products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance professional designations such as Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and/or the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and develop insurance team members within a geographic region, implementing the Frost sales process to ensure a high level of success.
  • Drive performance improvement by overseeing sales strategies, pipeline management, product knowledge, customer relationship management, and compliance with insurance regulations.
  • Improve sales performance by developing a formalized coaching model and by watching sales behaviors through direct observation; conduct weekly meetings to help build a customer pipeline and generation of leads.
  • Organize monthly meetings to build accountability for sales results and activities for the preceding month; review reports and create a model sales activities for the next month.
  • Promote the agency in the community, with other lines of business, and in the insurance industry.
  • Help team identify top clients and create respective relationship plans to improve relationship development and retention.
  • Participate in identifying candidates for sales roles, including the Insurance Development Associate program, that fit the Frost culture.
  • Act as the regional agency point of contact for relationships with insurance carrier partners, providing assistance, oversight, and product knowledge for complex insurance issues and placements.
  • Oversee budgets, expenses, and other relevant financial reporting.
  • Act as a mentor by offering guidance, support, and regular feedback on employee performance; provide coaching sessions to help improve sales techniques and growth.
  • Ensure that internal controls are in place and functioning properly.
  • Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.
