The candidate of this position must be self-motivated, problem solver with excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. The QA Lead (Coordinator) is responsible for the training of new QA hires and current QA associates. He/she will assist QA Team Lead in auditing QA and Production Quality / Food Safety related activities; review of OLQC and related activities validating compliance with customer requirements (Standard Operating Procedures and Specifications). QA Lead will be heavily involved in daily activities to help achieve quality, safety, food safety and productivity goals through the effective use of the resources.

Responsibilities

  • Follows & enforces GMP/PPE, Safety guidelines
  • Complete daily schedule
  • Follows & maintains HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
  • Lead/Coach/Train/Delegate Tasks to team members
  • Communicate (verbally & in writing) to complete KPI reports
  • Maintain KPI data
  • Oversee and maintain good housekeeping practices / GMPs
  • Assign and oversee GMP audits to QA Techs.
  • Communicate and educate line associates on good product and quality
  • Comply with SQF Regulatory Requirements
  • Review and sign CCP documentation, Audits CCP and CQP records for compliance with Food Safety and Quality Plans
  • Reviews prints and files CCP1 related graphs for wash water.
  • Audits and monitors critical control records and process control points for compliance to product quality, food safety requirements
  • Assists in the investigation of quality problems and foreign object and recommending solution for the prevention of reoccurrences
  • Audits plant sanitation, and monitors / verifies completion of Master Sanitation.
  • Develops and trains fellow associates in the team and production departments coaching and training
  • Certifies personnel by providing training on assigned tasks, policies and procedures
  • Assists in product withdrawal tracing product information using electronic and manual systems
  • Audits environmental monitoring compliance with established enterprise / customer requirements
  • Coordinates QA activities as needed, provides leadership
  • Confirms compliance with Weights by auditing MAV database
  • Conduct Packaging Integrity and labeling audits (as needed)
