About The Position

We're looking for a Frontend Tech Lead Manager (TLM) to lead the development of our web and mobile applications. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management: you'll guide the architecture and delivery of our frontend systems, while also growing, mentoring, and empowering a team of engineers. You'll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to shape our product strategy and deliver seamless, scalable user experiences.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering, with a strong focus on building and scaling modern web applications.
• Deep expertise with big frameworks or framework knowledge in general and TypeScript, plus solid knowledge of at least one other major web framework (Vue, React, Angular, Svelte).
• Production experience with big frameworks or framework knowledge in general, with a good understanding of mobile release cycles and cross-platform challenges.
• Proven leadership experience: mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives, and managing teams or projects.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns, API integration, state management, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, build tooling, testing frameworks, and code quality enforcement.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to align technical strategy with business and product needs.
• Previous experience in a hybrid Tech Lead + Manager role, balancing hands-on technical work with people leadership.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise applications as part of a product team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with native iOS and/or Android development (nice to have, but not required).
• Familiarity with release automation, feature flagging, and experimentation platforms.
• Background working in environments that include backend APIs, serverless applications, or real-time/IoT integrations.
• Experience with hybrid web applications (shared components, webviews, other technologies).
• Exposure to compliance or security frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback.
• Drive the frontend strategy and architecture across web and mobile applications.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant applications using modern web (and mobile) frameworks.
• Establish engineering best practices: code quality, testing automation, CI/CD, observability, performance monitoring, and accessibility.
• Partner with product and design teams to define requirements, prioritize roadmaps, and ensure cohesive user experiences across platforms.
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase where needed, while maintaining a high-level view of system design and technical direction.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

Benefits

• The estimated base salary range for this position is $230k to $260k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant.
