About The Position

Are you passionate about translating design into clean, maintainable code that delivers seamless experiences across devices? If so, then this Frontend Engineer role might be perfect for you! In this role, you will be an important member of our engineering team, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of frontend applications across security surveillance, network devices, device management system, and cloud platforms. You’ll collaborate with our UX/UI designers, backend engineers, QA teams, and product managers, and you will leverage your expertise in modern web technologies to build engaging, reliable, and performant user interfaces that meet our business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communication Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in frontend software development; experience in security surveillance, audio/video, or network device development is preferred.
  • Proven experience designing and building scalable, accessible, and performant web-based applications.
  • Strong proficiency in core frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and ES6+ specifications.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one major frontend framework (e.g., Vue, React) and related ecosystems; familiarity with Vue is a plus.
  • Familiarity with common computer networking concepts and various web standard specifications.
  • Experience with responsive design, mobile web development, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with frontend build tools and module bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, Vite) and common engineering practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; a willingness to share knowledge and learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with security surveillance systems, network device management interfaces, or cloud platforms.
  • Experience with real-time audio/video streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC, HLS, RTSP).
  • Experience with TypeScript at scale.
  • Experience with progressive web apps (PWAs) or mobile web development.
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Material UI).
  • Experience with static site generators (e.g., Next.js, Gatsby) or server-side rendering (SSR).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and user-friendly frontend applications for security surveillance, audio/video applications, network devices, device management systems, and cloud platforms using modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers and other teams to ensure seamless API integration and data flow, especially for real-time audio/video streaming, device control, and cloud platform interactions.
  • Select and utilize appropriate frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Vue, React) to build responsive and interactive UIs for security monitoring systems, device management interfaces, and cloud platform management systems.
  • Optimize frontend systems for performance, including code size, build speed, data rendering, and real-time streaming latency; enhance security and optimize the interactive experience.
  • Participate in building frontend engineering, visualization, and automation capabilities to improve the quality and efficiency of the frontend team’s R&D.
  • Participate in cutting-edge technology research and contribute to the team’s technical infrastructure.
  • Implement robust security measures to ensure data protection and application integrity on the client side, especially for sensitive surveillance data and device control operations.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Automate frontend build, testing, and deployment processes using tools like CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, Vite).
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues, especially those related to real-time video playback, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Participate in code reviews & design reviews for the modules you are responsible for.
  • Stay up to date on the latest frontend technologies, design systems, and best practices, especially in the security, AV, and cloud domains.
  • Other duties as assigned.
