About The Position

The Data Cloud team provides comprehensive, cross-application data insights for our customers. Our products—such as reporting, dashboards, data catalogs, and transformations—help customers understand and utilize their data to make informed decisions. This front-end engineering role focuses on building our Reporting product suite. You'll be developing features for advanced report configuration, report templatization and organization, and other analytical tools that will enable Rippling's customers to intuitively extract value and meaning out of the data they store in Rippling. We're looking for engineers who are passionate about creating exceptional user experiences. You should be comfortable with the latest React performance best practices, parallel data fetching, end-user experience monitoring, and building maintainable, well-tested APIs for complex data interactions. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to both product and platform layers. We prioritize scalability and extensibility, ensuring solutions serve all of Rippling's current and future applications. The Data Cloud team is highly visible and collaborates closely with many other teams across the organization.

Requirements

• Depth and quality of experience are more important than years, though successful candidates typically have 2+ years of development experience
• Strong experience building well-tested, composable components in React, including design systems and component libraries
• An eye for detail in the user experience—polish, readability, accessibility, and performance
• Skilled in performance tuning for dynamic, front-end-heavy applications
• Experience working with systems at significant technical and organizational scale
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and identifying high-impact opportunities
• Proven ability to influence technology decisions across teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication of complex technical ideas
