About The Position

Job Summary: Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to improving our community’s health by making quality comprehensive healthcare accessible to all. We strive for a healthy community where everyone is cared for. The Front Office Team Member is a member of the Patient Resources Team that includes health care navigators, billing, and social services. They support the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by improving patients’ access to quality healthcare. This position performs all front office duties including answering the telephone, scheduling patient appointments, performing check-in and check-out functions, and maintaining patient medical records.

Requirements

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish required
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Previous dental office experience preferred
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Six months previous customer service experience, preferably in a health care setting
  • Experience in cross-cultural settings
  • Ability to lift up to 15?pounds?
  • Ability to perform prolonged or extensive standing and walking?
  • Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching?
  • Ability to perform prolonged periods of time in front of a computer?
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this work?
  • We are required by federal law to verify identity and eligibility to work in the U.S.?

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the work of the Dental Front Office?
  • Greets and receives patients and the general public, by phone or in person?
  • Coordinates various activities related to front office procedures to assure a smooth patient flow and high quality of customer service?
  • Works with Billing Team to ensure accurate and timely billing?
  • Utilizes EMR in patient care and staff communication?
  • Coordinates patient referrals?
  • Completes opening and closing tasks?
  • Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned?
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills?
