About The Position

Essential Functions: Responsibilities – Counsels, guides and instructs Front Office, Reservations/PBX, and Housekeeping staff in the daily performance of their duties. Possess complete knowledge of all departmental procedures and oversees and assists in the administration, room departures, guest account charges and receipts. Trains all personnel in the proper performance of all job duties and thereafter ensures that all guests are treated in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Schedules all team members to ensure there is sufficient workforce available to provide the most efficient guest service possible. Ensure correct hours for employees are turned into payroll on a timely basis. Operates keyboard to input and/or extract guest information. Oversees guest with balance report for balance due. Resolve any issues and ensure all counts are paid in full. Ensures Internet rates and reservations are monitored and processed on a timely basis. Manages rates and inventory to ensure optimal occupancy and ADR for the Hotel. Assists Front Office and Reservations reps with duties during peak hours. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Requirements: Ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm. Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Previous money handling experiences a must. Ability to uphold presentation/demeanor in stressful situation and calling for assistance when necessary. Previous experience using a 10 key and CRT’s. Previous experience with HIS system preferred. Previous experience in most aspects of front desk operation is essential. Ability to work under pressure. Must posse strong organizational/planning skills.
