This is a chance to join a dynamic team and make an immediate impact. The Front-Desk Receptionist must demonstrate the ability to work independently, multitask in an often-busy environment, tactfully solve problems, and communicate well with all levels of staff.   This role will support various departments within our highly ranked Engineering firm and will serve as the first point of contact for our visitors. Essential Function The job involves providing coverage at the front reception desk during the firm’s core hours of operation, which are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Your responsibilities will include: Greeting clients, vendors, and guests who enter the organization Arranging both internal and external meetings and events. Answering incoming calls and operating the switchboard while maintaining a professional demeanor Interacting effectively with both internal and external parties via phone and email. Assisting with the direction of phone, email, and walk-up employee requests and questions to appropriate groups Compiling, sorting, and analyzing employee data from various systems as needed for process analysis and special projects Handling sensitive company information with discretion and confidence Receiving deliveries and overnight packages

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in a professional office environment
  • High School diploma or GED completion
  • Previous customer service and/or front desk reception experience
  • Professional demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • High attention to detail
