Front Office Specialist- Austin Highway Location: 1248 Austin Hwy Suite 220, San Antonio, TX 78209 Status: Seasonal-Full Time Pay: $14-$16 depending on experience Why This Role Matters The front desk drives the entire visit. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enjoys working with children and families
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and busy clinics
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Pediatric or urgent care front desk experience
Responsibilities
- Be the calm, welcoming presence families meet first
- Manage check-in, insurance verification, and payments without losing accuracy
- Explain wait times and next steps clearly and respectfully
- Juggle phones, walk-ins, and systems during busy shifts
- Document thoroughly in the EMR and protect patient privacy
- Work closely with clinical teams to keep patient flow moving
