About The Position

We are currently hiring for our FPG Silverstein Institute & Head and Neck Surgery offices. These medical offices offer medical and surgical treatment for ear, nose, throat, head and neck conditions for both adult and pediatric patients. Patient Relations Rep II - Front Offce: The Patient Relations Rep II is responsible for patient related activities within the office including patient scheduling, patient check-in, checkout, and follow up activities/communications. This position acts as a liaison between the physician, patient, the office and insurance company. Handles collections of monies from patient at time of checkout. Heahtcare and/or physician office experience is preferred but not required. Looking for candidated with strong customer service experience and office/clerical experience. Surgical Scheduler: The Surgical Scheduler works directly with surgeons in the practice to accurately schedule patients for surgical procedures including pre-admission testing appointments in OR, Oncology, and Endoscopy & Bronchoscopy Lab utilizing a block-scheduling system in a way that best maximizes surgeon satisfaction while also managing the overall utilization of the procedural areas. The Surgical Scheduler is also responsible for ensuring appropriate equipment, room specifications and preferences are selected in order facilitator to accurately support the scheduled case and best facilitate the daily schedule. Surgical Scheduler position requires at least 1 year of previous healthcare experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer some college or vocational training.
  • Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a physician office.
  • Prefer knowledge of EHR/EMR.
  • Prefer knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Prefer skills in all Microsoft office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Access).
  • Prefer a professional, neat appearance with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Prefer basic knowledge of third party payers.
