About The Position

Requirements

  • Experience and proficiency with computers.
  • Availability to work weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or Assistant (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations including answering phones and patient inquiries.
  • Check patients in and out, collect payments, and schedule appointments.
  • Learn and explain managed vision care plans and benefits to patients.
  • Pull authorizations for insurances prior to appointments.
  • Post and file insurances after appointments.
  • Manage and handle patient flow within the practice.
  • Scan and enter patient data into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Perform preliminary testing on patients.
  • Order, dispense, and organize trial contact lenses.
  • Provide patient instruction on contact lens care and usage.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
