Golden State Dermatology is a multi-doctor dermatology practice, focused on providing quality care for patients across the bay area. Golden State Dermatology is looking for an energetic Lead Front Office Assistant to join our team. The Lead Front Office Assistant's duties will include, but won't be limited to; All aspects of the front office, check-in, check-out, insurance verification, heavy phones, collecting payments Monitoring provider schedules for gaps or catching and correcting inaccurate scheduling Help minimize patient no-show rate by completing/supervising effective appointment confirmations Training and giving feedback to schedulers (on-site and remote) concerning provider schedules Verify to ensure all insurance verifications are completed prior to patient appointments Manage the front office staff for training/ performance and HR issues (ensuring coverage and optimizing efficiency and high level of service to patients Assist provider with simple coding questions or with help verifying insurance coverage for procedures. Help to identify and implement other improvements to the practice Communication liaison between the back and front office staff, if necessary, to create a cohesive workflow
