About The Position

The Front Office Lead is a working position with duties for leading the daily workflow of the front office. Schedules patient appointments, greets patients and visitors, answers and directs phone calls, checks patients in and out, verifies insurance eligibility and assists in general office duties. ADVANTAGES OF WORKING FOR UNLV HEALTH Clinic Hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM (Actual scheduled hours may vary depending on business need) 12+ Paid Holidays per year, starting with your first day of employment 20+ PTO days per year 3% 401K Contribution, even if you do not contribute (after 90 days of employment) Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits that start the first of the month following your start date

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years experience in healthcare performing like duties is required.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication ability
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with the public
  • Knowledge of insurance programs.
  • Math skills to manage cash, change, checks and credit card transactions.
  • Knowledge of operating various types of office machinery (i.e., faxes, typewriters, copier, etc.)and applicable software applications (i .e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) Knowledge of insurance verification software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow PHV HIPAA regulations
  • Knowledge of medical office scheduling.
  • Knowledge of medical office terminology
  • Ability to work under fast paced and stressful conditions. Ability to work with frequent interruptions.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of electronic medical record system preferred
