About The Position

Under general supervision of the Practice Manager or Front Office Supervisor, the Front Office Coordinator assists with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of front office staff activities in the daily operation of patient registration, scheduling, and insurance information collection in a physicians' practice. This role requires considerable judgment in applying established office practices and procedures. The coordinator also serves as a role model to other staff members by demonstrating leadership skills and sharing knowledge, and acts as a preceptor for new non-clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field and two (2) years of front office or related experience
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of front office or related experience
  • 2 years of front office or related experience
  • 4 years of front office or related experience and high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Coder-AHIMA or AAPC
