About The Position

Within a high volume setting, provides support functions to the clinical and administrative staff; ensures attention to detail and aids in the completion of patient charging, abstracting, and insurance referrals. The incumbent will coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, complete patient letters, and complete other administrative tasks assigned.

Requirements

  • One to three years previous experience as a Administrative Assistant in a physicians practice or Clinic environment
  • Command of verbal and written English
  • positive interpersonal communication skills
  • good organizational skills
  • Understanding of referral process
  • Knowledge of physician appointments and schedule management
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.
  • Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able and available to float to other practice locations as needed with reimbursement for mileage.
