About The Position

The Front Office Associate at Jonesville Family Dentistry plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient flow and providing personalized care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Skilled in the use of basic office equipment such as telephones, calculators, copiers, faxes, and computers.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with doctors, co-workers, and patients.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks timely.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and competently.

Nice To Haves

  • Dental experience preferred.
  • Dentrix/Eaglesoft experience preferred.
  • Prior insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and visitors.
  • Inquires with each patient about any changes to their contact information and updates accordingly.
  • Verifies insurance for active coverage and history.
  • Schedules appointments for patient care and maximizes production goals.
  • Confirms hygiene appointments that have not been confirmed from the automated system.
  • Processes daily updates on patient questionnaires.
  • Checks out patients, collects co-pays, and schedules next appointments.
  • Serves as backup for the Treatment Plan Coordinator when needed.
  • Monitors the schedule and fills openings using the ASAP or Unscheduled lists.
  • Prints the current day's schedule and provides it to the Office Manager.
  • Handles outgoing and incoming mail, including sending cards to new patients and referrals.
  • Updates the patient Office Journal and creates events in the appointment book for significant patient events.
  • Keeps the front desk and reception areas clean and organized.
  • Scans lab slips, prescription slips, and referrals.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and secures electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA.
