About The Position

Front Office Assistant – Orlando Health Imaging Centers 📍 Location: 7000 4th St North, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. 📌 Future Flexibility: Schedule will shift based on patient volume. Position Overview The Front Office Assistant plays a key role in our imaging centers by supporting patient access, customer service, and administrative operations. This position works in a fast‑paced outpatient environment under the direction of: Manager of Practice Operations Medical Office Manager Academic Program Manager Academic Nurse Manager Practice Site Supervisor This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys patient engagement, multitasking, and being part of a collaborative care team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 6 months of clerical, administrative, general business, or customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Schedule imaging appointments according to protocols and patient preference
  • Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and secure pre‑certifications
  • Collect accurate demographic, insurance, and billing information
  • Provide professional, courteous telephone support
  • Process medical record requests in accordance with Orlando Health policies
  • Utilize office technology and imaging documentation systems effectively
  • Greet and assist patients with professionalism and empathy
  • Support seamless check‑in and check‑out workflows
  • Uphold Orlando Health’s Commitment to Excellence service standards
  • Follow Orlando Health and OHPE/OHPG/OPN policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Assist with supply management and billing coordination
  • Maintain punctual, reliable attendance aligned with ADA/FMLA/organizational standards
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with patient rights and legal requirements
