About The Position

Performs a variety of front office duties for the medical practice. Greet and assist all patients and visitors. Secure accurate insurance and demographic information from the patient to be entered into computer system. Answer and route incoming telephone calls as needed. Must be familiar with insurance rules and billing practices in order to assist patients with questions. Assist with patient check out and scheduling of any ordered diagnostic procedures or future appointments. Perform medical records duties such as filing, scanning and send outs as required. Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year front office and/or medical records experience in physician office or similar setting required.
  • Must be able to use a computer and be familiar with Medical Office programs including EMR systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet applications required.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology required .
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
