About The Position

At Bawk! we know that a vibrant and healthy community starts with our staff. Every employee makes the difference between fine times and great times. We have structured our front of house so that everyone knows how to do everything. There are specific stations assigned per shift and you can expect to work your way around these stations throughout the week. This includes, counter, food running, expediting and light bartending. Front of house staff will work directly with the shift lead to ensure a smooth service and will report directly to the general manager. We’re going to the moon, come with us.

Requirements

  • Are at least 21 years of age

  • Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods
  • Able to read and follow written English instructions
  • Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, crawl, lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 55 pounds using appropriate techniques and tools
  • Able to safely navigate the cafe, bottle shop, and patio areas, including crowded spaces
  • Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
  • Able to move 165-pounds, using appropriate techniques and tools
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors
  • Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards

Responsibilities

  • Give warm welcomes and fond farewells to all guests
  • Take orders from guests through the point of sale
  • Pour beer, wine and soft drinnks
  • Basic understanding of beer, wine and liquor
  • Anticipate the needs of our guests
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Sell and stock merchandise, bottles and cans
  • Handle cash responsibly and provide accountability for cash handling procedures
  • Abide by and enforce all alcohol laws and rules
