About The Position

The Front End Supervisor oversees daily operations at the front of the store to ensure smooth, efficient, and friendly customer service. This role is responsible for supervising cashiers, managing cash handling procedures, resolving customer issues, and maintaining front-end presentation standards. Grocery experience is required to support store operations and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements

2+ years in a supervisory or lead role in a grocery or retail environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
Proven experience handling cash and balancing registers.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service-oriented mindset.
Proper attendance, and reliable transportation required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

Supervise front-end staff including cashiers, and customer service associates.
Oversee all cash handling procedures: opening and closing tills, cash drops, safe counts, and daily reconciliation.
Train and coach team members on POS systems, transaction accuracy, and customer service standards.
Monitor checkout lines to maintain operational flow and minimize wait times.
Ensure compliance with store policies, loss prevention procedures, and safety guidelines.
Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating breaks to ensure sufficient register coverage at all times.
Collaborate with grocery and department leads to maintain store readiness and support special promotions.
Lead by example in creating a clean, organized, and customer-focused front-end environment.
Perform periodic audits of cash drawers and sales receipts to ensure accuracy.
