About The Position

The Front of House Floor Supervisor at Porto's Bakery & Cafe is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while overseeing the daily operations of the front-of-house team. This role focuses on staff supervision, guest service excellence, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience supervising in a restaurant or similar environment (Required).
• 2 years of restaurant management experience (Preferred).
• Ability to commute to Buena Park, CA 90620 (Required).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead front-of-house staff, including servers, bussers, and cashiers.
• Train and develop team members on bakery and menu knowledge, guest engagement, and service protocols.
• Assign duties, manage shift schedules, and coordinate roles to ensure seamless operations.
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure all roles are properly fulfilled and all positions are covered.
• Greet and assist guests to provide a positive and memorable dining experience.
• Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Train staff on upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
• Coordinate shifts to ensure timely food delivery and efficient table turnovers.
• Step into line staff roles as needed during high-volume periods or emergencies to support operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of dining areas, restrooms, and staff workspaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Report building maintenance needs, including issues with equipment, furniture, or facility cleanliness, across guest and team member areas.
• Manage guest and staff conflicts in a professional and effective manner.
• Resolve disputes quickly to maintain a positive and harmonious work environment.
• Monitor and report any building or equipment issues, such as sound systems, air vents, soda machines, graffiti, windows, landscaping, or janitorial storage.
• Ensure all areas, including guest restrooms, team break rooms, and locker rooms, are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked.
