About The Position

Safely and efficiently supports NALI & LI team activities at KIE/KRNDA. Assisting with the testing of machines, operation of the machine, and creation of field reports. Test machine, shop equipment, and work space maintenance and cleaning. Assembly and disassembly of test machines as well as prototype part inspection, production, and modification.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED.
  • English language competency including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Communicate with English as second language team members.
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Google suite: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive.
  • Experience with the following:
  • Hand tools
  • Battery powered tools
  • Cutting and drilling
  • Measurement: tape, calipers.
  • Perform assembly and disassembly and follow QA manuals and assembly instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Part and process knowledge of Loader, Backhoe and Tractor, etc.
  • Off road and/or farm equipment operation experience.
  • Able to perform basic fabrication (cutting, grinding, drilling, etc.)
  • Able to perform moderate to advanced fabrication (Welding, Forming, Machining, etc.)
  • Able to read engineering prints (tolerances, welding annotation, etc.)
  • Problem solving and investigative personality that can analytically articulate their perceptions and concepts in a manner that differentiates facts and opinions in verbal and written form.
  • Eligible to drive KRDNA Truck (KRDNA Driver’s List plus must maintain a valid DOT License)
  • Ability to travel and or obtain visa to Canada and Japan.
  • Shop skills:
  • Welding, forming, milling, turning.
  • Measurement: height gauges, inclinometers, micrometers
  • Read engineering prints (tolerances, welding annotations).

Responsibilities

  • Perform tests
  • Follows detailed verbal and written instructions.
  • Operates off road equipment in a safe way while achieving performance criteria.
  • Fills out field reports: operator, machine hours, weather conditions, and ground conditions.
  • Participate and adhere to shop, test space, and test machine 5S activities.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of work spaces: shop, test field, storage etc.
  • Cleaning and maintenance test machines and shop equipment.
  • Safety checks of test machines and equipment.
  • Prototype part modification and production.
  • Perform assembly and disassembly.
  • Transport of machines
  • Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
  • Machine maintenance.
