About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for individuals who have a passion for driving, career growth and share our #1 value: SAFETY! We are looking for CDL Route Drivers to join the team at our location in Bowie, TX. You will be responsible for safely operating a CDL Truck delivering dumpster containers to customers, while providing the best service in the industry. This includes duties such as safely driving a Commercial CDL Truck into a variety of environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.), determining the best drop off location for dumpsters, cautiously operating hydraulic hand controls to lift/load dumpsters on/off the truck, securing the dumpster load, and performing daily pre and post trip inspections. You will interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a satisfactory driving record.
• Class A or B CDL.
• Ability to work Monday – any day of the week starting as early as midnight.
• Physically comfortable with demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a Commercial CDL Truck into various environments.
• Determine the best drop off location for dumpsters to avoid property damage.
• Cautiously operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load dumpsters on/off the truck.
• Secure the dumpster load and account for weight shift before departing.
• Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Interact courteously with customers.
• Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
