About The Position

We are Grapevine Overhaul & Repair At Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, we are at the forefront of designing and manufacturing advanced helicopters for both commercial and military missions. At the Grapevine Overhaul & Repair facility we perform a variety of composite/metal repairs on Sikorsky U.S. Military and commercial Main Rotor Blades and Tail Rotor Blades. THE WORK Supervise a team of Direct Reports that work on the shop floor at the Sikorsky RMS Grapevine Overhaul and Repair Center specifically for the Operations (Manufacturing) Department. Coordinate daily activities to maximize production, set priorities, manage expectations and improve efficiency. Responsible for coordinating, monitoring and documenting direct reports training, work performance, quality of work and disciplinary actions. Communicate with peers across shifts and work with supporting departments i.e. Production Control, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Tooling and Safety. Monitor, adjust changes, and complete time cards for direct reports. Oversee direct report attendance and labor charging. Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • flexibility with shift schedules and is available to work onsite weekends when assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Knowledge and leadership experience in Aviation Overhaul and Repair.
  • Knowledge of Composite Bonding and Paint Processes.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) reporting, investigating, resolving, maintaining and implementing improvements.
