About The Position

Arquus is a leading defense company in land mobility solutions. In its various local locations, ARQUUS designs, manufactures and supports a whole range of light armoured vehicles. A long-standing partner of the armed forces, ARQUUS has nearly 25,000 vehicles of all types in service with the French Army. Arquus is participating in the production of the new generation of the Army's forward vehicles, the Griffon and the Jaguar as part of the Scorpion program while ensuring all the logistics of spare parts and components thanks to its Hub Arquus logistics platform. We are looking for an experienced Inventory First Line Manager for our Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS. The Inventory FLM will report directly to the Ops Support Manager and will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and continuously improving the CDC's inventory control processes to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across inbound, outbound, and storage functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain leadership.
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving performance in a fast-paced, unionized warehouse environment.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SAP or similar WMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of inventory analysts and auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance in all inventory transactions.
  • Drive performance through KPIs such as Inventory Accuracy, Cycle Count Compliance, Stock Adjustment Trends, and Root Cause Resolution Rate.
  • Lead and facilitate root cause analysis (A3, 7-step, or kaizen) to address inventory variances, process errors, and systemic issues.
  • Support implementation of Lean and Quality at Source principles within the inventory management process.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, and engineering teams to resolve systemic issues impacting material accuracy.
  • Oversee and standardize processes for stock adjustments, tag reversals, cycle counts, and blocked stock management.
  • Manage and report on inventory accuracy metrics, driving improvement through corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely completion and validation of daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliation processes.
  • Conduct process confirmations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure sustainability of standard work and compliance with operational procedures.
  • Provide clear communication across shifts and teams to align goals, priorities, and improvement actions.
  • Train and develop team members in problem-solving methodology, WMS3 & SAP transaction accuracy, and process discipline.
  • Temporarily support alternate shifts or weekend operations when required.
