About The Position

The Front Gate Manager oversees the daily operations of the Front Gate areas, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for every guest. This role is responsible for managing team performance, scheduling, and guest service standards while maintaining compliance with company policies and budget guidelines. By coaching and supporting team members, promoting sales initiatives, and maintaining high service standards, the Front Gate Manager helps ensure every guest has a Good-Clean-Fun time at Typhoon Texas!

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, early mornings, nights, and holidays.
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing over 30 pounds as part of daily responsibilities.
  • May occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb, or balance.
  • Must be able to multi-task and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be an effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver feedback, share analysis, and communicate updates across all levels of the team.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and professionalism in a high-volume, guest-focused environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations of the Front Gate Department to ensure the team delivers outstanding guest service and meets all departmental profitability goals.
  • Partner with HR to recruit, hire, train, coach, and discipline all Front Gate Team Members and Leadership.
  • Responsible for all scheduling aspects of the Front Gate team, including generating, reviewing, and publishing schedules in accordance with budget guidelines and applicable labor laws.
  • Verify and approve timecards for all Front Gate Team Members.
  • Ensure the daily operations of the Front Gate Department run efficiently, completing all opening, closing, and cleaning tasks.
  • Enforce all Pyek and Typhoon Texas policies and procedures. Ensure leadership enforces policies consistently.
  • Supervise the resolution of guest complaints and train leadership to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Ensure all point-of-sale system (POS) closeouts are completed at the end of each operational day.
  • Prepare and issue rainy-day tickets as appropriate during weather events.
  • Uphold and communicate the company’s “All Sales Are Final” refund policy, providing excellent guest service and using discretion when exceptions are warranted.
  • Create all training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), departmental procedures, and safety protocols for the Front Gate Department.
  • Oversee training to ensure team members are thoroughly trained.
  • Attend daily Front Gate Department meetings to ensure important information is communicated.
  • Oversee the completion of monthly inventory, auditing information to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure Front Gate areas maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Manage Front Gate lines of communication, including emails, text messages, and phone calls.
  • Order supplies and tools for the Front Gate team as needed, within budget guidelines.
  • Oversee the lost and found item process.
  • Encourage team members to participate in sales initiatives and recognize those who meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Solicit team member feedback, assist in resolving conflicts, and communicate concerns as appropriate.
  • Other duties as designated by the Revenue Manager, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager.
