About The Position

The Front Food Server Specialist at Cornerstone Gold Coast Hotel & Casino is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to guests in a fine dining environment. This role involves taking and serving food and beverage orders, ensuring customer satisfaction, and coordinating service with the team. The specialist will also be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and knowledge of the menu to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements

• One (1) year of food and beverage experience preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
• Working knowledge of good specialty or cuisine and service standards in specific restaurants.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Ability to utilize computer systems for placing food and beverage orders and processing payments.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and serve food and beverage orders from guests.
• Collect payment and make change for guest checks.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and daily specials.
• Coordinate service for the entire team, ensuring timing of meals and overall customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with the Host to determine special needs/requirements of guests prior to seating.
• Provide initial greeting to guests and introduce them to their Serving Team.
• Memorize scripted presentations including the room's basic concept and tour through the Food and Beverage menus.
• Take guests' beverage orders while suggesting and upselling cocktails, wine, and beer offerings.
• Order and deliver beverages to guests.
• Review menu offerings, suggesting and upselling to enhance guest satisfaction while accurately recording orders.
• Place orders and communicate special needs to back Waiter/Assistant Food Specialist.
• Ensure proper delivery of all courses and guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
• Continue to sell beverages and menu items including dessert while maintaining the table.
• Present guest check at the end of the meal and ensure settlement of the bill.
• Thank guests as they depart per scripted requirements.
• Assist the team in clearing and resetting tables.
• Communicate guest dining preferences to the host team for guest history.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
