About The Position

The Front End Superintendent will provide overall field leadership, planning, program implementation, coordination, and compliance to ensure the safe, quality construction of the Work of Project, on schedule, within budget, proactively focused on Client’s expectations and concerns.

Requirements

  • Education & Certification – Related education and/or experience; OSHA 30 completion card
  • Recommended Work Experience – 5-15 years relevant experience in multifamily construction
  • Physical Demands – Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching (with arms and hands), handling, talking, hearing, depth perception, lifting, vision (close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus), and lifting/moving up to 35+ pounds
  • Working Conditions – Considerable local and non-local travel may be required; Work with a group and/or team; Frequent conflict situations may be present; Work after normal business hours; Potential hazardous work; Frequent exposure to extreme outside weather conditions and high levels of noise

  • Broad understanding of the construction industry with a focus on site development, utilities, and concrete scopes of work.
  • Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Strong background in heavy civil and/or concrete scope of work

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project Manager and Project Executive to plan and organize activities relating to site development, utilities, and concrete scopes of work
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines through participation with the Project Manager
  • Primary onsite point of contact for owners, municipalities, inspectors, engineers, and other contacts for early site activities
  • Represent CF Evans in project meetings and attend coordination meetings with clients, design team, and municipality representatives
  • Review project invoices with Project Manager regarding site and concrete scopes in a timely manner to ensure vendor and sub-contractor payments
  • Assist in the implementation of quality control programs and safety
  • Properly notify clients of delays due to weather, changes, etc
  • Confer with supervisory personnel to ensure all matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems are resolved with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals
  • Formulate reports based on marked-up plans showing work progress, costs, and scheduling
  • Complete daily logs documenting work completed
