About The Position
The Front End Manager at Food City is responsible for promoting and maintaining efficient and courteous service to customers at all times. This role involves supervising and monitoring the total functions of the front end, including cashiers, courtesy clerks, fuel, and video associates. The manager will also oversee the computer room operator and coordinate lane pick-ups, ensuring security of safe and change funds, and enforcing security policies and procedures for store safes. The position requires accountability for the security of all safe combinations, keys, and numbers entrusted to the manager, as well as ensuring that all cash, deposits, and pick-ups are properly handled. The manager will promote the use of ValuCard, monitor coupon handling procedures, and maintain good housekeeping on the front end. Additionally, the manager will ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and lottery tickets, as well as federal laws regarding WIC checks.
