The Front End Manager at Food City is responsible for promoting and maintaining efficient and courteous service to customers at all times, ensuring that the policy of 'No more than two customers waiting in line' is always followed. This role involves supervising and monitoring the total functions of the front end, including cashiers, courtesy clerks, and fuel associates. The manager will also oversee the computer room operator and coordinate lane pick-ups, maintain security of safe and change funds, and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. The position requires accountability for the security of all safe combinations, keys, and numbers entrusted to the manager, as well as ensuring that all cash, deposits, and pick-ups are properly handled. The manager will promote the use of ValuCard, monitor coupon handling procedures, and maintain good housekeeping on the front end. Additionally, the manager will enforce company dress code policies, ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding the sale of age-restricted products, and assist in maintaining proper inventory levels in the customer service area.
