Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service by leading front‑end operations with a customer‑first mindset
  • Supervise, schedule, and support front‑end team members including cashiers, courtesy clerks, customer service staff, head clerks, and bookkeepers
  • Oversee daily cash handling processes including tills, safe balancing, refunds, check approvals, and reconciliation reports
  • Monitor customer traffic and service levels to ensure adequate staffing and efficient operations
  • Maintain front‑end cleanliness, safety, and visual presentation while ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching front‑end associates while supporting performance and development
  • Manage labor and supply expenses to meet budget goals while minimizing cash variance
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and model excellent service recovery behaviors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines
