About The Position

The Front End Manager at Belair Safeway is responsible for ensuring that customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service. This role involves managing and scheduling the duties of various front-end clerks, overseeing daily cash handling, and supporting store sales and operational plans. The manager will champion customer service programs, handle customer relations, and ensure the front end operates efficiently and projects a positive image.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule duties of Front End Clerks, Courtesy Clerks, Customer Service Clerks, Head Clerks, and Bookkeepers.
• Oversee daily cash handling, balancing, reconciliation, and payroll reports.
• Champion customer service programs to meet or exceed Division goals.
• Handle customer relations and resolve complaints effectively.
• Promote personalized service and engage in suggestive selling techniques.
• Direct and supervise front end activities, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Monitor customer traffic and service levels, coordinating front end programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in the Front End.
• Train front end management and clerks, monitoring their compliance.
• Responsible for achieving budget goals for labor, cash variation, and supplies.
