About The Position

The Front End Lead at Rural King is responsible for overseeing and leading front end operations with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing cashier transactions, training new associates, and ensuring a seamless checkout process while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. The Front End Lead will also engage in various operational tasks, including cash management, customer interactions, and maintaining product visibility.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of retail cashier or retail supervisory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
  • Excellent communication skills to implement policies and procedures and provide customer service.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Flexibility with hours to work a 40-hour workweek with varied hours, days, nights, and weekends.

  • Ability to analyze information and identify errors or inconsistencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership to front end operations.
  • Lead front end associates to ensure a seamless and efficient checkout process.
  • Train new front end associates and oversee their development.
  • Manage cashier transactions and customer service desk layaway transactions.
  • Empower cashiers to utilize the cashier script for customer interactions.
  • Assist cashiers by running a register to ensure smooth operations.
  • Establish and maintain margin bins for product visibility and organization.
  • Communicate professionally with associates and customers.
  • Aid customers with load outs and coordinate with Outside Recover Associates.
  • Execute accurate cash management, returns, layaways, exchanges, and price dispute resolutions.
  • Set up and manage tax-exempt customer plans ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in shrink awareness by researching cash shortages and taking corrective action.
  • Maintain awareness to prevent loss and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to incoming calls at the registers with impeccable phone etiquette.
  • Complete daily paperwork processes including bank deposits and safe audits.
  • Oversee the maintenance of popcorn and coffee stations.
  • Order necessary store supplies for optimal front-end operations.
  • Manage the Buy Online Pick Up in Store (BOPIS) process and customer interactions.
  • Conduct weekly BOPIS audits comparing physical products to orders in the systems.
  • Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives such as training programs and workshops.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to others.
