The Front-End Engineer III position at Amazon Dev Center U.S., Inc. involves creating and modifying the front-end experience and maintainability of team tools or applications. The role requires developing and improving large user-facing product features and components that fit seamlessly into the overall product architecture to ensure a cohesive customer experience. Responsibilities include designing and implementing production quality web applications that are performant, secure, and accessibility compliant, participating in engineering software design and user experience discussions, and contributing both collaboratively and independently in a rapidly changing environment to support user requirements. The engineer will also resolve the root cause of complex front-end/UX issues to improve software, build operational dashboards for telemetry, integrate with CI/CD tools, apply appropriate programming paradigms and front-end software design patterns, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers. The position may require domestic and/or international travel up to 25%.

  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • One year of experience in building large-scale web applications.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks including React, Angular, Vue, or Backbone.
  • Experience with responsive web design, media queries, and delivering functionality across devices and platforms.
  • Developing rich applications with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and integrating with REST APIs.
