  • Must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR a certificate of completion from an accredited CDL school.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, including DOT drug tests and a background check, meeting criteria for "safety-sensitive" functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate heavy hydraulic equipment and navigate commercial-grade vehicles.
  • High-level ability to identify unacceptable materials (hazardous, flammable, or toxic waste) at the point of collection.
  • Ability to repetitively lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and occasionally move wheeled containers weighing up to 300 lbs.
  • Proficiency in reading maps and using digital routing software.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and the flexibility to adjust to route changes or weather-related challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Maneuver commercial frontload vehicles into high-traffic and minimum-clearance areas, utilizing advanced mirror techniques and spatial awareness to back up and position equipment safely.
  • Execute assigned commercial/multi-family routes efficiently using GPS and key maps, ensuring 100% fulfillment of customer contracts.
  • Access container enclosures and manually maneuver 3–4 yard containers on castors into position for mechanical dumping.
  • Conduct rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR).
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Monitor the dumping process to prevent debris spillage; ensure customer sites are left clean and safe by clearing any loose trash.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, courteously interacting with the public and customers while proactively reporting route issues to dispatch or management.
