About The Position

This 12-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in digital product development and technical consulting. You'll work with cutting-edge web technologies on real-world projects, contributing to the success of our cloud-based platform. We are looking for a proactive and curious intern to join our Digital team in Exton, PA. This is a hybrid role and requires in-office presence two days a week (Tuesday/Thursday).

Requirements

• In the final year or recently completed a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of web development, including experience with HTML, CSS, SASS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with the React framework.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Awareness of responsive design principles and web accessibility standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with React development through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Understanding of React state management.
• Experience using Git or other version control systems.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Basic knowledge of build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm).

Responsibilities

• Learn Guidewire's Digital products and contribute to product implementation and development projects.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, and test new features for web applications.
• Assist in building intuitive and responsive user interfaces using Guidewire Jutro, our design system based on React.
• Work with cross-functional teams including UX Designers, Business Analysts, and InsuranceSuite implementation teams.
• Advocate for customers to leverage our out-of-the-box capabilities to enable faster delivery and easier upgrades.
