About The Position

Makes collection calls to loan and deposit customers who are delinquent in payment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • Typically the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages
  • Ability to write short correspondence
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to interact within a team environment
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws concerning collections
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Responsibilities

  • Identify delinquent accounts that are assigned and make collection calls to customers
  • Prepare, contact and manage assigned accounts
  • Verify customer identity with current security procedures
  • Problem solves with delinquent customers and consult management on any unresolved customer complaint or bank error
  • Identify and report any collection issues that may need to be escalated
  • Assist customers by processing extension requests, Right to Cure letters, maintenance requests, Fresh Starts, phone payments and exercise right of offsets
  • Identify customers that may qualify for loss mitigation assistance and refer them to loss mitigation manager
  • Follow all collections laws (state and federal) and guidelines
  • Completes all training in a timely manner
