About The Position

The position focuses on creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return. The individual will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, monitor quality assurance standards, and supervise all functions and activities for the Front-end department. Responsibilities include supporting day-to-day operations, executing best practices, and demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
  • Retail or Customer Service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Management experience.
  • Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).

Responsibilities

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
  • Monitor established quality assurance standards.
  • Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Front-end department.
  • Support day-to-day functions of the Front-end operations.
  • Assist with the execution of best practices and Front-end standards.
  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the departments.
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses.
  • Manage cash control, sales, and cash items and records.
  • Manage scheduling of Front-end associates.
  • Assist in preparing the store/department budget and profit and loss reviews.
  • Collaborate with Front-end associates and promote teamwork.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained.
  • Reinforce safety programs and comply with safety procedures.
  • Practice preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report safety risks or issues, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
