About The Position

The Front End/Assistant Department Leader is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and maintaining a safe and clean environment. This role assists the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, monitors quality assurance standards, and helps direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities of the Front-end department. The Assistant Department Leader supports day-to-day Front-end operations and assists with the execution of best practices, goals, and standards. The position requires demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. City Market, which merged with The Kroger Company in 1983, serves customers in 34 stores across Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. Responsibilities

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return.
  • Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department.
  • Monitor all established quality assurance standards.
  • Assist in directing and supervising all functions, duties and activities for the Front-end department.
  • Support the day-to-day functions of the Front-end operations.
  • Responsible for assisting with the execution of best practices, goals and Front-end standards established for the department.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
