As a Front End Assistant Department Leader, you will play a crucial role in creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department while monitoring all established quality assurance standards. This position requires you to assist in directing and supervising all functions, duties, and activities for the Front-end department, supporting the day-to-day operations effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of best practices, goals, and Front-end standards established for the department. You will demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in all interactions. Your ability to handle stressful situations and communicate effectively will be essential as you promote trust and respect among associates and create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated. You will gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the departments, responding to questions and making suggestions about products. Additionally, you will assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department, managing cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store. Scheduling Front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage will also be part of your responsibilities, along with assisting store management in preparing the store/department budget and conducting profit and loss reviews. You will collaborate with Front-end associates to promote teamwork and display a positive attitude while adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
