About The Position

The Front Desk Team Member at Gold's Gym serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, and staff, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere as they enter the facility. This role is crucial in creating a positive experience for all visitors, as it involves greeting individuals enthusiastically and directing them appropriately. The Front Desk Team Member is responsible for managing the front door area, providing security, and controlling access to the gym. This includes checking in members using established procedures, monitoring check-ins for delinquent accounts, and registering guests efficiently. In addition to these primary responsibilities, the Front Desk Team Member will handle various administrative tasks as directed by the Gym General Manager. This includes answering phone calls professionally, taking messages, and following up on inquiries. The role also requires maintaining a neat appearance, wearing the proper uniform, and distributing keys, towels, and other materials as needed. The Front Desk Team Member will assist in retail and concession sales, ensuring that the cooler and inventory are fully stocked. The position demands a proactive approach to member requests and concerns, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The Front Desk Team Member will also be involved in membership sales, assisting new members with registration, account changes, and scheduling personal training sessions. Other duties may include light cleaning, maintaining the front desk area, and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. Overall, this role is integral to the smooth operation of the gym and the satisfaction of its members.
