About The Position

As a Front Desk Sales Associate & Key Holder, you are the first impression of Scenthound and a critical part of daily store operations. This role blends sales, customer service, operational execution, and leadership support. In addition to delivering a best-in-class front desk experience, you will serve as a trusted leader on duty, responsible for opening and closing the store, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the Store Manager in driving performance. This is an ideal role for someone who is hands-on, dependable, tech-savvy, and ready to grow into a leadership position.

Requirements

  • Sales Experience: Background in retail, hospitality, or membership-based sales is preferred
  • Customer Service: Experience providing high-quality, solutions-based service
  • Leadership Ability: Prior experience as a key holder, shift lead, or supervisor is a strong plus
  • Dependability: Reliable and responsible with store access and operations
  • Dog Lover: Passion for pet health and wellness is a plus
  • Strong Communicator: Comfortable speaking with customers and teammates in a professional, approachable way
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiar with CRM, POS, and scheduling systems
  • Analytical: Ability to read and act on performance data
  • Leadership Potential: Motivated to take initiative and support team success

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound leads through our CRM and schedule appointments
  • Educate customers about services to drive membership and product sales
  • Meet or exceed sales KPIs: Membership Sales, Trial Conversion, Average Ticket Size, Rebooking Ratio, Product Sales
  • Recommend add-on services based on dog needs
  • Deliver an exceptional, informative customer experience—every time
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
  • Open and close the store following standard operating procedures
  • Ensure cash handling, POS reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting accuracy
  • Maintain store readiness, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times
  • Monitor daily schedules and adjust for optimal flow and efficiency
  • Act as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is not present
  • Support the Store Manager in executing daily priorities and achieving store goals
  • Lead by example in performance, accountability, and customer experience
