Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 6 months of receptionist, administrative, or healthcare front desk experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Proficient in data entry and basic computer systems
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical office, behavioral health, or wellness setting
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and practice management systems

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Answer and route incoming calls; take accurate messages as needed
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility
  • Collect co-pays and post payments accurately
  • Maintain patient records, logs, and documentation
  • Manage front desk workflow and ensure efficient patient flow
  • Balance daily receipts and assist with basic financial reporting
  • Provide administrative support (filing, correspondence, mail distribution)
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient care
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and patient privacy standards
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Demonstrate empathy and respect when working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges
  • Help create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment for all patients
