About The Position

Resurgens Fayette Surgery Center, a single-specialty ambulatory surgical center and a joint venture between the Resurgens Orthopedic Group and USPI, is seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist Medical Records. This role involves interfacing with patients, families, physicians, and staff, admitting patients and processing paperwork, updating patient demographics, collecting monies due, documenting in the billing system, handling funds per office procedure, and answering incoming phone calls. Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Record is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary and maintaining the Practice's medical records according to established guidelines and requirements, reviewing records for compliance with approved policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical records experience required
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards
  • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand
  • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner
  • Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies
  • Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff
  • Must know insurance verification and collection processes
  • Must have problem solving and decision making skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills
