About The Position

Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. For all these men and women, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living. Job Summary: The Front Desk Monitor 2 plays a critical role in the housing program as this position is the first point of contact for both clients , visitors , and vendors . They h e lp coordinate non-clinica l needs of clients by assisting the Front Desk Monitor 1, as well as clients, staff and vendors w ith dail y requests and needs. They also control the front door and assist staff in crisis situations as they occur. It is expected that the Front Desk Monitor 2 provides excellent customer ser v ice at all times. This position also conducts regular tours of the building , monitors activities of the lobby area and completes incident reports , as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to sit , walk and stand for numerous hours.
  • Has an understanding , appreciation , and commitment to the philosophy and mission of Project FIND.
  • Establish and maintain polite , professional , and effecti v e working relationships with all contacts.
  • Patrols property on foot, securing personnel, assets, building, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all-weather conditions.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Shows initiati v e and is responsible for follo w through.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information , as related to the position.
  • Provides excellent customer service at all times.
  • Basic level computer skills ; Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated flexibility with the ability to change priorities with limited notice including working overtime and being available to work with little notice.
  • Ability to lift packages and other items up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Greets a ll v isitors entering the facility by announcing their arri v al to staff and c li ents.
  • Ensures all v isitor s sign in and out as required.
  • Prepares lo gs and reports related to front desk events into the electronic records system.
  • Routes mail and deliveries as required.
  • Observes and reports in cidents, concerning activities , and high-risk situations to appropriate staff.
  • Monitor ' s entrance and ex it points managing clients , vis itor s , and contractors.
  • Makes periodic rounds of the building and documents any hazardous conditions or issues.
  • Follows assigned procedures in emergency situations .
  • Handles or assists in crises s ituation s.
  • Completes Incident Reports in electronic records system.
