About The Position

The Medical Administrative Senior Rep is an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team who functions under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and/or licensed physician. The position provides professional, courteous, and friendly assistance to our customers. Coordinates appointments, handles multiple phone calls, and reschedule/confirm appointments. May handle cash, coordinate, schedule and follow up on phases of a surgery procedure and/or specialty referral appointments. Provides exceptional customer service and maintains patient confidentiality. Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments; physicians, patients, families as well as external contacts, such as employees of other healthcare institutions community providers and agencies concerning the healthcare of the patient. This Front Office role will be based in our health centers in Wellington and West Palm Beach, and move to our new health center in Delray, when it opens. Cigna is committed to a healthy work force. New hires must complete a background check, drug and nicotine screen to be employed in this role. This role is patient facing & you must be fully vaccinated OR be required to undergo testing twice a week. Note, in some locations local law requires the clinician to be vaccinated with no testing option, in those locations local law takes precedent. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. Requirements

  • GED/High School Degree
  • At least 1 or more years of customer service experience
  • At least 1 or more years of experience in cash handling, typing, scheduling applications experience preferred
  • Ability to convey information to customers in a warm, clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to maintain strictest level of patient confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Solid Computer skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team oriented
  • Strong time management skills
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work health center hours and locations
