The Front Desk Manager at Clevelander South Beach is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office team to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role involves managing staff, maintaining hotel standards, and addressing guest inquiries and issues in a professional manner.

  • Develop and implement a plan of action for day to day Front Office operations and assign responsibility accordingly.
  • Hold all hourly Front Office Associates accountable to ensure total completion of all assigned duties and tasks on a daily basis.
  • Ensure proper coverage of all Front Office areas on a daily basis.
  • Maintain hotel cleanliness and furniture standards throughout daily operations.
  • Monitor work area and daily operations, assisting according to guest/business demand as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of and monitor occupancy, revenue, payroll, and staffing forecasts for Front Office Operations.
  • Handle and resolve inquiries, special service requests, and associate or guest-related problems in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Report any unsafe workplace practices, damaged/broken equipment, and other issues that may be harmful or hazardous to guests and associates.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Hotel Manager.
  • Ensure all Best Western trainings are successfully obtained for yourself and all front desk staff.
  • Ensure Best Western requirements and standards are met at all times.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of previous hotel-related experience in a manager role.
  • Ability to communicate with public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Thorough knowledge of Front Office Operations.
  • Strong interpersonal, managerial, and leadership skills required.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize goals.
  • Customer-focused and target driven, with outstanding people and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional listening, learning, creative, and communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge and proficiency required, i.e. Excel and Word.
  • Experience with and knowledge of other hotel-specific programs and systems (PMS, POS).
  • Full-time position with a salary range of $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year.
