About The Position

The Desk Receptionist position at Endodontic & Periodontic Associates is designed for an experienced Dental Receptionist who will manage front desk operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent customer service. Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in the dental field.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, insurance plans, and dental terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Helpful to staff and patients.
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
  • Knowledge of Dentalvision or similar dental software preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
  • Computer skills (1 year preferred).
  • Familiarity with dental terminology (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage incoming calls.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Greet patients and notify the clinical staff of patient's arrival.
  • Verify patient personal and insurance information.
  • Secure all necessary paperwork and patient signatures.
  • Provide patient handouts as warranted.
  • Review patient forms for completeness and accuracy.
  • Secure payment and/or set up financial arrangements with the patient.
  • Prepare all patient records for next day appointments.
  • Respond and comply to requests for information.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol.
  • Check daily appointment schedule.
  • Confirm patient appointments.
  • Ensure all providers' schedules are full for next day.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Maintain patient files in an accurate and neat manner.
  • Balance batch sheets against day sheets and send to Bookkeeping Department.
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary to ensure efficient patient flow in the office.
  • Occasional work at various offices.
