The practice is seeking an experienced and highly organized Front Desk Coordinator with a minimum of two years of dental office experience. This role is crucial for delivering an exceptional patient experience and ensuring efficient front office operations. The ideal candidate is confident, detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and maintains a warm, professional presence with patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience (required)
  • Proficiency with dental software (Open Dental or similar preferred)
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance and scheduling protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with treatment coordination or case presentation
  • Familiarity with production goals and schedule optimization
  • Bilingual skills (if applicable to patient population)

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in/check out patients with professionalism and efficiency
  • Manage and optimize the daily schedule for both hygiene and doctor columns
  • Answer incoming calls and handle patient inquiries with excellent customer service
  • Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Accurately enter and update patient information in the practice management system (e.g., Open Dental)
  • Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments
  • Maintain detailed and accurate communication logs
  • Assist with treatment plan presentation and follow-up to support case acceptance
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure a smooth and timely experience
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to maintain productivity goals
